2025: Growing Our Office

The first half of 2025 has flown by. I am trying very hard to be intentional with my time but I looked up and it was July already! What is it that they say…time flies when you are having fun?!? The 2025 focus for our office is GROWTH-planning for it, staffing for it and building systems for it… all with the underlying goal of serving you better. We are doing our best to take the lessons that we have learned over the last four years and parlay them into a great 2025 and beyond. Below is a little overview of what we have been up to!

New Office Space: We moved from our little corner of High Street in Waverly to the OSU Endevour Center in Piketon this January. It has given us the space to spread out and grow from a two girl team to a 4.5 person squad! It has been a great transition and is actually closer for a lot of our clients than the old office. We are still working on settling in and decorating to make this place our own. I am excited to share some before and after photos soon. We are also looking forward to utilizing the amazing shared space here at the OSU South Centers to host a FREE estate planning working on September 25, 2025 at 5:30. Stay tuned for details on that. More coming soon!

Meet The Team: We grew not by one but two full time team members in 2025 (so far!!!) and continue to utilize some part-time help from our family. We have taken the term family business to new heights this year! We are also in the process of mapping a couple additional hires so that we are ready when the time is right. The strategy and timing of growing a team is more complicated than I anticipated but we are finding our way. Most of you already know Tasha and me but I thought that I would take a moment to drop a quick introduction of the other members of our team that you might encounter around our office.

  • Rhonda Henry, retired teacher and world’s best Mom, has spent time answering our phones, scheduling folks and taking care of getting documents to and from the courthouse, post office, bank and county offices. She was clutch for us when we were growing and working on hiring the right people. We would’ve been in big trouble without her! She is now enjoying some peace and quiet and just subbing in for us when we need her. Her smiling face is always welcome around the office.

  • Shane Henry, my favorite brother, joined our team in January. He relocated back home to Pike County and has been focused on learning all that he can about real estate title work. It has been great having him back home.  We haven’t lived in the same area since 1996 and now we also work together! We are really excited to grow this part of our office in the coming months and years.

  • Erin Nelson joined our team as a legal assistant in May. Tasha met Erin through a performance at their church. She won us over with her stellar work ethic and friendly personality. She has been a joy to have at the office, has jumped in with both feet and is helping to keep things running smoothly already! She is going to be a huge asset to our team.

  • Eli Elliott, Tasha’s teenage son, is working on some scanning projects for us during his summer break from Southeastern High School. We will miss him around the office now that his band schedule picked up for the remainder of the summer but he will continue to help when he can this summer and fall.

  • Kobey Wallette, my adult son, is also working with us on a part-time basis. He has been a huge help getting documents to and from other counties, assisting with data entry, data management and basic research. I am excited to expand his role as our office continues to grow!

I look forward to sharing a more personal look at our team on social media over the coming weeks and months. I am so proud of our small but mighty team. Office culture has been really important to Tasha and me since the beginning. You spend more time with your collegues than your family sometimes so we have tried to be extremely intentional on that. That intentionality led us to start with family! As we branch out more, we hope to add folks who come to feel like family. We want this to be a great place to work and everyone here to feel valued. Having a happy, engaged staff is yet another way that we hope to serve you better.

Thanks for following along as we grow both our little office and our corner of the internet in 2025 and beyond.
